Country Style Bread
When It comes to making country style Italian bread, this recipe can't be beat. It has a thick, crunchy crust, and a coarse textured interior. This bread freezes also freezes very well.

Panettone
This is a traditional Christmas bread recipe made by Nonna Lina each year. Usually one would use a round, tall sided panettone pan which can be found at kitchen specialty stores, but almost any casserole or bread pan could be used.

Ciambellone
This is a traditional Easter Bread recipe that is a cross between a cake and a bread, with a nice texture well suited to be served at breakfast or with coffee.

Ciambelle ~ Fennel Bread Rings
This recipe is difficult to describe, but the finished product is well worth it. You end up with very chewy, anise flavored bread rings. Initially they will be crunchy, but become more chewy after a few days, Store in an airtight container. They are great between meal snacks, or even with a glass of wine before dinner.

Fritelle
These tasty fried pastries make a great appetizer or between meal snack. Christmas Eve just would not be the same without them at Nonna's house. Generally a combination of fritelle are made, including those with a vegetable, and baccala (salted cod) filling, as well as some left plain.
